Studlin Labs, Inc. ("Studlin," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Studlin website and application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. Passwords are never stored by Studlin directly. Authentication is handled securely through our authentication provider. If you sign in with a third-party account, we receive only the information you permit, such as your name, email, and profile photo.
We collect information about how you use the Service: which features you access, how long you study, tasks you create, flashcards you generate, calendar events, and similar activity. This powers your study stats, weekly summary, and AI scheduling features.
When you upload notes or PDFs, or interact with any AI powered feature (such as flashcard generation, quiz generation, syllabus scanning, or AI scheduling), the content you submit is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We do not use your submitted content to train AI models beyond what is necessary to produce your response in that session.
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Studlin requests read-only access to your calendar events (Google API scope calendar.events.readonly). This lets us see the times and titles of your existing events so we don't schedule a study block over something you've already committed to. We cannot create, edit, or delete anything in your Google Calendar with this access.
To keep imported events current without asking you to reconnect every time, we store a Google-issued refresh token and a snapshot of your synced events, tied to your account, and refresh that snapshot automatically: a daily background sync, plus a near-real-time update whenever Google notifies us your calendar changed. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Settings → Integrations, which deletes this token and snapshot immediately, or revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page.
Studlin's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use your Google Calendar data to serve ads, sell it, or share it with any third party, and we do not allow anyone to read it except as strictly necessary to provide the calendar-sync feature itself, to comply with the law, or with your explicit consent.
If you choose to connect Canvas using a personal access token you generate yourself, Studlin uses that token to read your enrolled courses, assignments, assignment due dates, and each course's grading-weight configuration, so Studlin can build a more accurate schedule and better estimate how much a given assignment or exam counts toward your grade. This access is read-only: Studlin never submits coursework, posts grades, or otherwise modifies anything in Canvas on your behalf. We store your Canvas access token securely, tied to your account, so we can keep this synced automatically without asking you to reconnect every time.
If you connect Blackboard, Moodle, or another school system, or a work schedule, through a plain calendar feed link instead, Studlin only reads the event times and titles published at that link, the same as subscribing to any other calendar feed, and never receives an access token or credentials for that system.
You can disconnect any of these at any time from Settings → Integrations, which deletes the stored token and synced data immediately.
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. Studlin never receives or stores your full card number. We receive only limited billing metadata (last four digits, card type, and subscription status) necessary to manage your account.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to operating Studlin.
We share data only with trusted infrastructure providers that are necessary to run the Service. This includes services for authentication, database storage, payment processing, transactional email, and anonymized product analytics. Each provider processes your data strictly to perform its function and is not permitted to use it for their own advertising or to sell it to third parties.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers or any party for marketing purposes.
Studlin is a voluntary productivity tool. Students enter their own study goals, tasks, and notes. We do not access, request, or store official education records such as transcripts, grades issued by a school, or any records covered by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
If we ever pursue integrations with school systems or learning management platforms, we will update this policy and obtain appropriate legal guidance before doing so.
Studlin is open to all students. There is no minimum age to use the Service.
If you believe your child has created an account without your consent, contact us at studing2026@gmail.com and we will resolve it promptly.
Your data is stored securely with TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a commercially reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To make a request, email us at studing2026@gmail.com.
California residents: we do not sell personal information, so most CCPA opt out rights do not apply to Studlin. We will comply with all applicable requests under California and other state privacy laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
